The Ask A Bookkeeper Cast & Crew
We’d like to introduce you to the team of people working on this show that are dedicated to making the world a better place, built on a foundation of passionate & thriving small businesses.
Penny is a small business owner who is always trying to find better ways to run her business. She is the busy owner of Penny’s Pies, a small pie shop serving her loyal, local customer base. She often is wearing all of the hats within her company, and could use a bit of help and guidance.
Penny the Practical Professional was panicky about her perennial paper pest, so she prudently procured a Polymath to police the pricey and perturbing patterns perpetuating her paper problem. The Polymath proficiently and pleasantly provided powerful planning for Penny’s particular predicament, thus producing plentiful progress and profitability to the proud and prosperous professional pioneer.
Polly is a monster that eats money and leaves behind only stress. She lives in dark places, like shoe boxes or file cabinets. She can be tamed if you have the right tools!
She started small with just a few receipts. Soon she grew as more was added each day. Bank statements, bills, notices and so on. Now she seems impossible to wrangle.
She does have one weakness – BOOKKEEPING!
Ingrid is a bookkeeping nerd and CEO of Polymath. She loves taking topics that most small business owners put on a scale from boring to terrifying and turning them into a fun and rewarding part of entrepreneurship.
Ingrid is the creator the AskABookkeeper.com online education series, a member of Profit First Professionals, a member of the Intuit Trainer/Writer Network, founder of the Southern Oregon Bookkeepers Association, and leader of the Southern Oregon Woodard Group.
She was recently recognized as one of the accounting profession’s Top 40 Under 40 and as one of the Most Powerful Women in Accounting.
Vanessa is part owner & COO of Polymath LLC. She is a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor® and a certified LivePlan Expert Advisor. In addition to these official certifications she has a great deal of experience working in QuickBooks Online Payroll and Intuit Online Payroll.
Clients love her ability to explain bookkeeping in approachable terms without making them feel belittled. She really enjoys working with clients who have a mess or are setting up a new system and have a lot of catch up work to do. The best part is untangling the mess and getting the numbers into understandable reports that have real meaning.
